In 2018 Ching-Ying Chien created her first choreography, Vulture, with the support of Akram Khan Company and National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying). Now, invited by the Aerowaves Spring Forward Festival, Vulture will be showcased at the Project Arts Center in Dublin, with two performances on April 29th, 2023.

8 years after the last tour of 1875 Ravel and Bolero, thanks to the support of National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying), this beloved Dance-Travel project has returned. From 2022 to 2024, it is scheduled to visit all 38 districts of Kaohsiung. In 2023, it will travel to hillside and mountainous communities in the greater Kaohsiung area.
In this short film, choreographer Yen-Cheng Liu and film director Ki-Yan Chan question the emotional engagement or dispassionate observation of the anonymous participants in social movements. By using excitement as a starting point, it helps to release our fear and leads us down a quiet path of introspection.
From 2010 to 2014, began with a simple concept of reaching people unfamiliar with dance in public places, Shu-Yi Chou has brought 1875 Ravel and Bolero to many cities. By collecting the memories of its journey, this book will touch the audience’s heart once again.
A box office success during its debut in 2020, despite the impact of COVID-19, Start Over finally hit the road in 2022. The long overdue tour took place in October at National Taichung Theater.
The wheel of time keeps turning, and the passing of days and nights repeats thousands of times, carrying countless stories. Yet, Yen-Cheng Liu’s genre-bending piece is not about fantasies in The Arabian Nights. It is a “brain boosting” exercise in which sensory reality is reconstructed.
